Ceramic coating vs wax vs sealant: what's the difference?

How is a coating different from wax?
Wax is like lotion: it sits on the surface and gradually washes away. A ceramic coating is more like a hard clear coat of nail polish. It bonds to the paint and hardens, so it holds on far longer.
Where does a sealant fit?
A sealant is a step up from wax. It's a man-made product that lasts longer than wax, but it doesn't harden into a durable shell the way a coating does.
Can I put wax or sealant over a coating?
Please don't. It covers the coating's surface and hides its water-repelling behavior. The coating is meant to be the top layer.
What doesn't any of them do?
