Is ceramic coating worth it on an older car?

What makes an older car a good candidate?
Paint that's still intact, without peeling or failing clear coat. Swirls and light scratches are normal and can often be polished out. The coating then helps keep that refreshed finish looking good.
When is it probably not worth it?
If the clear coat is peeling or the paint is badly faded through, a coating can't fix that. It's clear, so it would just seal in the damage.
Does the warranty cover older paint?
