Does ceramic coating need maintenance?
Short answer
Yes, a little. Ceramic coatings are low maintenance, not no maintenance: you still need to wash the car regularly. A yearly maintenance visit isn't required to keep your warranty valid, but it extends the warranty to its full term.

What does 'low maintenance' really mean?
A coated car gets dirty just like any other car. The difference is that dirt doesn't stick as hard, so washing is faster and easier. You're trading waxing for simple, regular washing.
What can I do myself?
You can wash the car and clay it. Follow the basics in how to wash a ceramic coated car.
What you can't do at home is apply the Ceramic Pro Sport topper or recoat the glass. Those are professional-only products applied by a certified installer.
What happens at an annual maintenance visit?
The shop does a decontamination wash to pull out grime that builds up over the year, inspects the coating, and applies a fresh hydrophobic top coat (Ceramic Pro Sport). Think of it as a refill for the top layer that takes the most wear.
How does maintenance affect my warranty?
It's optional. Without it, your warranty stays valid for the base term. With it, the warranty extends: Bronze goes from 1 to 2 years, Silver from 2 to 5 years, and Gold from 5 years to lifetime. Details in ceramic coating packages explained.
